Coty Operations Asia Pacific Pte Ltd – Finance Intern

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This is a hands-on role, responsible for all General Ledger matters for assigned legal entities and ensure accurate and timely reporting of the results. The role is required to have a close partnership with other finance teams, internal key business partners as well as external audit/tax/legal agents. In addition, the role requires strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Liaise closely with SSC (shared service centre), external auditors, and relevant personnel from various departments in the company to assist in statutory audit and tax queries
• Assist in preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliation schedules and monthly Cash Flow Report
• Track and monitor SOX control evidence for APAC (excluding AU and China) entities
• Liaise with control owners from respective departments to follow up on the SOX controls
• Coordinate user access reviews for systems/portals 
• Coordinate review and approval of quarterly reports
• Liaise with Company Secretary for statutory compliance requirements

KEY REQUIREMENTS 

• Undergraduates who can commit for at least 6 months (Jan to Jun 2023) for a full-time internship.
• Equipped with an understanding of the basic accounting principles
• Skilled in the use of MS Office tools including Outlook (or related email tool) Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated and self-starter, with a strong work ethic and a sense of confidentiality.
• Possesses cross-cultural awareness and high emotional intelligence.
• Articulate, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good balance of a professional attitude while having fun.
• Strong interest in consumer goods, makeup and beauty products.
• Strong desire to learn along with a strong sense of ownership.
• Persuasive, resilient and flexible, able to easily adapt to new challenges.

LEARNING OUTCOMES 

• Ability to confidently apply accounting skills from classroom (Accounting principles/Financial Audit) into real life practice.
• Gain working experience with SAP/ERP software especially Finance Related modules.
• Exposure to Cash Forecast Skills.
• Strong time organization and personal organization skills
• Deep understanding and hands on experience on SOX control, statutory audit and tax for Asia countries
• Ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders
