Comfort Transportation Pte Ltd – Mobility Service Assistant / Data Analyst

Following the merger of two successfully listed transport companies – Comfort Group and Delgro Corporation in 2003, Comfort Transportation and CityCab became members of the ComfortDelGro Group. ComfortDelGro Taxi, as it’s known today, is a leading taxi company in Singapore that provides affordable and fuss-free point-to-point services – be it street hail or booking – across Singapore. With a wealth of experience from managing a fleet of 10,000 taxis, to operating both booking and street hailing services, we are more than equipped to train anyone who likes the flexibility that taxi-driving brings become a cabby. 

As part of ComfortDelGro’s investment into digital initiatives, we are seeking mobility service analysts who can help our organization inculcate the use of data and to be equipped with making data-driven decisions.

The analyst would perform the following to assist the team to formulate operational/commercial policies for existing and new mobility services: 

Job Scope 

• Prepare data analysis using operational and fare data stored in CDG's datalake.
• Explore alternative data sources, e.g., web scrapping of social media, for a more comprehensive data analysis
• Market research, e.g., demographic of target market, existing mobility options, competitors and etc. 
• Other ad-hoc relevant duties 

The candidate would have the opportunity to use real-world and near real-time data to work on projects that would have immediate impact to business. Example projects that the candidate would work on are: 

• Geospatial analysis of rides demand and supply under different condition, e.g., public holiday and wet-weather 
• Web scrapping of social media to understand (CDG's and competitor's) driver's sentiment and propose suitable policies
• Market demand sizing of new mobility products 
• Programming language the candidates would use are Python, R, and SQL (Presto) 

Job Requirements

• Degree in Data Analyst, Data Science, Computer Science/Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Business Analytics or Master in relevant courses
• Experience in writing SQL query to aggregate data
• Experience in writing programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL (Presto)
• Able to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge in statistics and mathematics
• Able to commit at least 3 to 6 months of internship period (Full Time)
