Clearstream is a post-trade services provider owned by Deutsche Börse AG.
It provides settlement and custody as well as other related services for securities across all asset classes. It is one of two European International central securities depositories (Euroclear being the other). Clearstream operates securities settlement systems based in both Luxembourg and Germany, which allow for the holding and transfer of securities.
Cleatstream operates its International Central Securities Depository (ICSD) from Luxembourg and links to over 50 domestic markets worldwide, and also issues and safekeeps Eurobonds
Compliance Internship (Full Time)
Field of activity
The Compliance intern supports the compliance team of the Singapore Branch in complying with the local regulatory requirements and compliance requirements of head office and the Group.
Tasks/responsibilities:
- Annual/ad-hoc Client Review Exercise
- Performance of database research & investigation
- Support in processing daily compliance alerts and findings
- Support in finalizing tasks related to Regulatory Compliance
- CDD Review for account opening
- Preparation for Compliance meetings and taking of minutes
- Preparation and/or compilation of documents for internal/external audit
- Ad-hoc Compliance project/initiatives
Qualifications/required skills:
- Keen to explore the banking environment and eager to learn about the relevant Singapore regulations
- Proficient, analytical and self-confident with good interpersonal and organisational skills
- Advanced skills in MS Word and Excel
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and able to communicate with basic Mandarin
- Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different time-zones and different cultural backgrounds
- Banking and general compliance knowledge will be a plus, but not necessary
Internship period : Jan - Jun 2022 (LOA is required)
