Job Description

Internship period: Immediate to End June 2024

Role Overview:

Clarion Events Asia is looking for an Events / Conference intern for our upcoming InsureTech Connect Asia event. InsureTech Connect is the largest global gathering for innovation and transformation in the insurance industry. We were founded in 2016 and have been fostering the growth of our community since then. Our flagship event held in Vegas attracts more than 12,000 senior executives across the insurance, VCs and start-up ecosystem. The Asian edition, launched in 2021, has will take place from 4-6 June 2024 at Sands Convention Centre and is expected to attract over 2,000 attendees.

If you are looking for an internship in the events sector, this is the perfect opportunity for you to gain experience in conference production, specifically in research, copywriting, inviting high profile international speakers and creating a successful event at a global scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Support end to end conference production, including research, copywriting, identifying and acquiring high profile international speakers
  • Aid in speaker communication, follow-up correspondence and general speakers liaising activities
  • A team player who is able to work in a cross functional team to collaborate with colleagues of different functions, including sales, marketing and operation to ensure a smooth planning

Qualifications:

  • Interested in events production
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with event management software (e.g., Eventbrite, Cvent) is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic, humble and willing to take on new challenges, with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
