CareForWe is a student-led healthcare initiative based in Singapore, focused on community health education and early detection of chronic kidney disease (CKD).
Our work spans:
Local Community Involvement Projects (LCIP) in Singapore, involving health screening and education at community centres and Active Ageing Centres (AACs), and
Overseas Community Involvement Projects (OCIP) under the Youth Expedition Project (YEP) framework, conducted in partnership with organisations across Southeast and East Asia.
CareForWe works closely with healthcare partners and a government-backed healthtech initiative to pilot early disease detection approaches in real community settings. Interns gain hands-on exposure to public health delivery, healthcare innovation, project execution, and overseas service learning, beyond classroom learning.
As a Healthcare Outreach Intern, you will be directly involved in community engagement, health education, and screening activities related to kidney health.
This role involves active interaction with community members during LCIP events and forms the foundation for participation in OCIP under YEP. LCIP participation is compulsory for all Outreach Interns.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting kidney health education during LCIP community events
Assisting with health screening activities
Engaging seniors and community members through talks, booths, and workshops
Supporting outreach/publicity planning and on-ground execution
Supporting overseas outreach activities for OCIP (subject to commitment and selection)
Kindly note that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
