Job Description

Communications Intern (Jan 2024 Intake)

Our intern will be assigned to the Corporate Communications Department in BW LPG. Our intern will have the opportunity to assist our Head of Corporate Communications (based in Singapore) with a broad spectrum of Communications responsibilities, including social media content creation, press release drafting, website search engine optimisation and analytics, google ad campaign creation and monitoring, internal communications, investor communications and sustainability communications. Effort will be made to arrange for visits onboard vessels as they call into Singapore; and to impart appropriate work habits, skills and etiquette not generally included in academic studies. At the end of the internship, our Intern will have the necessary skills to be a valued member of any Communications team.

  • Assist with production of 2023 Annual Report and Sustainability Report
  • Draft and issue press releases on the Oslo Stock Exchange
  • Plan and executive digital marketing initiatives on financial results and release of Integrated Annual Report
  • Plan and execute email communications to subscribers
  • Propose and execute communications calendar and content for 1H2024 (LinkedIn and websites)
  • Plan and execute google ad campaigns
  • Plan and execute internal communications calendar and content for 1H2024 (Workplace by Meta platform)
  • Assist with updating of crisis communications media handbook

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in oil and gas and shipping industries
  • Strong writing skills
  • High level of initiative and excellent follow-up skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and functions
  • Detailed and meticulous
  • Interest in digital marketing and SEO tools/ analytics
  • Interest in social media engagement (LinkedIn, Facebook)
