Our subsidiary, Brand Finance Consultancy (Singapore) Pte Ltd is a small team focused on delivery high quality client work in valuation advisory, strategic marketing and value based marketing like brand investment scorecards.

Due to growth in the region, our boutique consultancy is looking for a Consultant who aspires to grow and work with a unique combination of talents. We are seeking enthusiastic candidates who will be interested to help spearhead the business development activities in Singapore and the region, identifying new business opportunities and leads, managing customer relationships and developing business, engaging in project management and presenting project findings and focus in market research knowledge. Given the depth of our services, candidates are expected to liaise with Senior Management (CEO, CFO, CMO, COO) on a regular basis. Our Singapore office oversees the operations in the Asia Pacific region, so the role offers travel opportunities.

We are seeking highly motivated personnel to manage projects and ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.

Job Description

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Market and industry trend research and analysis;
  • Understanding financial models;
  • Evaluating financial and market research data;
  • Writing reports and presentations;
  • Regular liaison with clients, including presentation of final results;
  • Oversee custom research work for Asia Pacific based research projects;
  • Apply appropriate research methodology and lead in the development of research instrument to meet defined business objective;
  • Design qualitative and quantitative research questionnaires and guidelines;
  • Conduct face-to-face qualitative interviews with C-suite level stakeholders from client side and other relevant stakeholders such as customers and vendors;
  • Conduct comprehensive web-based quantitative research using SurveyMonkey tool and online database vendors;
  • Conduct thorough, detailed desk research to gain thorough understanding of clients’ business and competitive positioning in the studied markets;
  • Work closely with external research agencies in all stages of research projects to ensure successful execution of research fieldwork;
  • Execute statistical analysis for client deliverables, e.g. segmentation analysis, competitive benchmarking analysis, etc.;
  • Review collected research data, authoring reports and share research insights in both written and presentation format.

Desired Skills and Experiences

This role is suitable for highly motivated professionals who possess the following:

  • 2-3 years’ work experience in an advisory or management consulting role preferred;
  • Experience in reading financial models on Excel;
  • Flexibility, determination, enthusiasm and the ability to cope well under pressure;
  • Ability to think strategically along with good analytical skills;
  • Business awareness and a good knowledge of current affairs;
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on more than one project at a time;
  • Excellent written communication skills;
  • Strong business acumen with passion to improve business processes and results;
  • Ability to understand and interpret accounting standards;
  • Willingness to learn brand and marketing concepts;
  • Possess good interaction skills;
  • Familiarity with economies in Asia a plus;
  • Highly motivated and used to working in small cross-functional teams;
  • Good writing and presentation skills;
  • A strong eye for detail;
  • A can-do, positive attitude.
