We are now seeking an enthusiastic and qualified individual to fill up the following position:

Job Description

OPERATIONS

• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software systems, networks, printers and IT equipment’s.
• Managing helpdesk ticketing system and responding to them in a timely and efficient manner
• Provides first-level technical support and liaise with external vendors for support on hardware and software and basic network issues
• Provide on-site, desktop and remote support
• Monitor and maintain Computer Systems, Local Area Network and Infrastructure.
• Repair and replace equipment’s as necessary, plan maintenance activities and upgrades for new/existing installs.
• Liaise with vendors to maintain telecommunication system, i.e.: internet connection line, leased line, PBX, call centre, etc.
• Assist in implementation of IT related projects
• Assist all departments to have effective use of any Information Systems in line with the company’s policies and procedures.

ADMINISTRATION

• Maintain documentation of servers, desktops and notebooks PC
• Manage IT Assets on hardware inventory and warranty information
• Manage IT Assets on software inventory, ensure that only licensed software is installed
• Assist departments to get the quotations for the hardware, software and systems.

GENERAL

• Contribute to the morale and team spirit of the company by maintaining effective relationships with colleagues
• Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors
• Is fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures
• Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, and body language
• Is polite and professional in any situation where the image or regulation of the company is represented
• Attends meetings and training as required by Supervisors and Manager


Requirements:


• Tertiary qualification in computer science, computing, engineering will be an advantage
• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to prioritise, delegate and meet deadlines
• Technical and logical thinking process.
