JOB DEFINITION:
•Reporting to Senior Purchasing Manager.
•Process enquiries and orders from the customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management or any related business or engineering studies.
•Minimum 2 years in purchasing in the shipping/marine industry, preferably with ship chandling experience.
•Conversant in MS Office and preferably any ERP system.
•Reliable, meticulous, resourceful and aggressive in cost effective sourcing.
•Pro-active planning, Problem solving, good judgment and communication.
•Attending to enquiries for supply; provide timely quotation; and process order efficiently.
•Assist in the selection of reliable suppliers, alternative sourcing and regular evaluation of suppliers’ performance.
•Liaise closely with customer, supplier, sales and operation team for correct and on-time delivery.
•Ensure prompt submission of job filing for timely invoicing.
•Submission of daily work report.
•Any other related duties as and when assigned.
