Overview

APCO Worldwide's Singapore office offers internships to students year round. APCO’s internship program seeks to provide students or new graduates with a valuable and substantive work experience and strives to involve the interns in all aspects of the company. An intern is encouraged to attend staff and brainstorm meetings and will also potentially have the opportunity to attend client meetings. Interns are treated as professional staff and play a key role on client service teams. They typically focus on one of APCO Worldwide's diverse client service groups while also contributing to a wide range of project work in other areas. Client functional service groups include:

Job Description

Intern’s Responsibilities:

The intern is responsible for supporting assigned staff on all projects. Specific responsibilities may include:

Internet research with respect to:

Political and economic analysis

Issue analysis

Industry analysis

Company profile analysis

Media monitoring

Proposal writing

Editing

Writing research reports

Interns report directly to assigned project staff and the internship coordinator.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Communications, International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy or related

An understanding of regional economics and politics

Excellent written and communications skills

Ability to organize and multi–task on project requests

Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as to work independently

Self-motivated

Professional demeanour 

Relevant professional or internship experience highly desirable
