Launched in 2013, Africa Southeast Asia Chamber of Commerce (ASEACC) aims to foster high-level business relationships between companies in Africa and Southeast Asia.


Represented by the Chairman or CEO of each member company, it is a “by-invitation only” and exclusive platform for market efficient information sharing and networking amongst like-minded decision-makers from both continents.


Within ASEACC’s proprietary network, our aim is to originate and facilitate decisive commercial ventures and deals amongst members from both regions. To date, we have a total of 13 carefully selected members – 9 from Africa and 4 from Southeast Asia, Olam, Wilmar, Pacific International Lines (PIL), and Crimson Logic.

Job Description

You will join us as an Analyst Intern, responsible for in-house consultancy projects and business research papers, that will further advance business and commercial ties between Africa, Singapore and Southeast Asia. You duties shall consist of the following :

  • Business Research and Analysis : Conduct proprietary research on industry sectors - banking and finance, venture capital, startup & innovation, ports and maritime - both in Africa and Southeast Asia

  • Presentation Decks - Prepare concise and succinct business pitch presentation decks, summarising the salient points of your analysis work

  • Operations & Networking - Be exposed to virtual networking, online webinars and make contacts with business and finance contacts in Africa, Singapore, African embassies, and institutions such as Enterprise Singapore and the Singapore Business Federation.

Your qualifications/skill-sets : 

Academically , you can either be ‘A’ levels, a polytechnic or university, undergraduate, a post-graduate or taking a gap/leave of absence year from school or work.

You must have work experience, be studying or have completed modules in any, or a combination, of the following fields

 

  • Business

  • Management or management consultancy

  • International Relations / Public relations / Political science

  • Journalism

  • Economics

  • Law

 

In addition, you must have the following competencies :

 

  • Enjoy writing and able to express any topic clearly and succinctly, across a variety of written formats from emails to short and long form essays and powerpoints. 

  • Keen interest in Africa, International Business Relations, Banking and Finance
