Abbott Manufacturing Singapore Pte Ltd – Maintenance Intern (Process)

Looking for an intern that can commit full time and credit-bearing for a semester from July to December 2026. 

Responsibilities: As a Maintenance Intern providing support in Maintenance in the Process section, he/she is expected to perform the following task:

1) Assist maintenance engineer in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment and machinery downtime.

2) Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation of maintenance activities.

3) Work with Engineering Store personnel in managing inventory and spare parts management.

4) Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance procedures and tasks.

5) Be part of inspection team to perform regular GEMBA of work area to identify potential issues.

6) Participate in training and professional development opportunities to improve industry knowledge and maintenance skills.

7) Work with the Planner and Scheduler in generating weekly metrics for maintenance KPI.

• Importance of maintaining a good inventory level against maintenance work performed in plant

• How to generate good data to make data driven decisions

• How to configure PowerBI or equivalent application

• How to use PowerBI for graphical presentation of data

• How to develop a business presentation

• Presentation techniques (e.g. eye contact, non-verbal cues, responding to difficult questions, etc.)

• Presentation in front of an audience with various functional backgrounds.

• Answering questions posed by various personnel with different functional background.

Location Of Internship: 

Abbott Manufacturing Singapore, 26 Tuas South Avenue 10 Singapore 637437 (shuttle bus service provided from Chinese Gardens/Boon Lay MRT to Tuas in the morning, and from Tuas to Jurong East MRT in the evening)

Monthly Allowance: $1300
