Internship Description:
1) Planning Cycle Workbook:
- Understand and work on the additional needs on the planning cycle workbook while taking into consideration countries ease of usability
- Prepare templates for countries to complete during Q3 and Q4 planning cycles while taking into consideration countries ease of usability
- Communicate the updates to countries' finance team
2) Innovation Forecasting:
- Develop excel-based bottoms up model to forecast sales of new product launches (line replacement and line extension)
- Work with Market Insights (MI) team on data inputs and assumptions for forecast model
3) Finance / KPI Dashboard:
- Develop finance / KPI dashboard for area leadership team on Power BI
Learning Outcomes:
1) Able to solve real business problems by applying statistical modelling and excel skills when developing demand forecasting model and enhancing planning cycle workbook
2) Understand the importance of fact -based and data - centred decision making process through developing innovation forecasting model
3) Learn how to manage and communicate change through working with countries in the implementation of the demand forecasting tool and planning cycle workbook updates
