AXCELLENT Consultancy & Services Pte Ltd  is a Singapore-based professional services firm providing accounting, corporate tax, GST and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of local and international clients.

Tax & Accounting Intern

We are looking for a motivated and willing-to-learn Tax & Accounting Intern to join our team. You will gain practical exposure to accounting, taxation and financial reporting while working alongside and receiving guidance from our experienced team members.

What You Will Be Doing

Accounting

• Assist with bookkeeping and preparation of accounting schedules.
• Have the opportunity to work on smaller sets of accounts as you progress.
• Assist with clients’ accounting records and supporting documents.

Corporate Tax

• Assist with simpler corporate tax assignments under guidance.
• Support senior team members on larger tax engagements, including reviewing and analysing business expenses and supporting documents.
• Gain practical exposure to corporate tax computations and filings.

Financial Reporting

• Assist in preparing unaudited financial statements for smaller companies.
• Learn how accounting information is presented in financial statements.
• Gain practical exposure to basic SFRS concepts and financial reporting requirements.

Other Exposure

• Assist with GST and other accounting-related assignments where required.
• Support the team on ad-hoc accounting, tax and compliance matters.

Who We Are Looking For

• Students currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Basic accounting knowledge is helpful, but prior working experience is not required.
• Willing to learn, responsible and attentive to details.
• Basic Microsoft Excel and Words skills.
• Able to communicate and work well with the team.

What You Can Expect

Don't worry if you have not done these tasks before — guidance and on-the-job training will be provided.

You will start with manageable assignments and gradually take on more exposure as you become familiar with the work. Our aim is to give you meaningful hands-on experience and help you understand how accounting and tax concepts learned in school are applied in real client engagements.
