- Job Description
Role Description
We are seeking a resourceful and commercially minded individual to support a China market expansion project focused on building partnerships with education and student advisory firms.
You will identify and approach boutique overseas education consultancies, admissions agencies and related student-facing organisations, particularly outside China's most saturated Tier 1 markets. The objective is to introduce a white-label academic enrichment programme that partners can offer to their existing students.
Your work will include researching potential partners, identifying founders and decision-makers, conducting outreach through channels such as WeChat and email, arranging conversations and supporting the development of qualified partnership opportunities.
This is a remote, flexible role with compensation primarily based on successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify suitable education and admissions partners across China
- Find relevant founders, owners and partnership decision-makers
- Conduct targeted outreach via WeChat, email and other appropriate channels
- Generate qualified partnership conversations
- Support partnership discussions and follow-up
- Maintain an organised pipeline of prospects and opportunities
- Provide market feedback on partner needs, pricing and positioning
Requirements
- Strong English and Mandarin Chinese communication skills
- Familiarity with China's education, overseas study or student services market is strongly preferred
- Comfortable conducting business development and outreach
- Resourceful, independent and persistent
- Strong research and communication skills
- Existing relationships with education consultancies or student-facing organisations would be an advantage
- Ability to work remotely and manage flexible deliverables
Compensation
This role will operate primarily on a success-fee basis. Compensation will be tied to successfully originated partnerships and may include additional upside based on paying student referrals generated through those partnerships.
Specific commercial terms will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
