About the role
Job Title: Data Analytics Intern
Works closely with and have impact on: Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial, IT
Reports to: Global FP&A Manager
Function: Finance
Internship Duration: Minimum 24 weeks
Role Overview
We are looking for an Intern with an interest in Data Analytics, Data Science, or Analytics Engineering to support the team in building scalable analytics solutions and improving reporting processes.
This role sits at the intersection of FP&A, Data, and Technology, offering hands-on exposure to modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and automation tools.
The intern will work with real business datasets and contribute to building production-level data models and pipelines, following a structured Medallion Architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold) approach.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop Power BI dashboards for business, financial, and operational reporting
- Apply and maintain Medallion Architecture principles (Bronze / Silver / Gold layers)
- Build Lakehouse / SQL Warehouse / Semantic Models for end-user consumption
- Perform ETL / ELT processes using Power Query, Dataflows, SQL, or Notebooks
- Develop data models (star schema) to support scalable and consistent reporting
- Identify and implement automation opportunities using Power Automate or Python
- Perform data analysis, communicate insights clearly, and support business decision-making
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data solutions
- Continuously learn and apply new tools and techniques to improve analytics
- Project-based 50%, Operational 30%, Ad hoc work 20%
Requirements
Experience
- No prior work experience required
- Relevant project work, internships, or portfolio (e.g., dashboards, data pipelines, automation) will be advantageous
Skills/Accreditations
Some tools, skills and experiences you will be working with:
- Power BI (DAX, data modelling) and Power Query (M)
- SQL (T-SQL) and/or Python (including PySpark) and/or Spark Scala
- Microsoft Fabric (Pipelines, Lakehouse, Semantic Models)
- Excel, Power BI and Analytics End Point
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving
- Ability to communicate insights clearly and logically
- Curiosity, initiative, and self-driven learning mindset
Academic Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, in the field of Data Science, Data / Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Postgraduates with relevant experience are also welcomed.
