Job Purpose
The Finance Intern will support the Group Finance team in financial reporting, analysis, and system-related initiatives. This role provides hands-on exposure to the financial operations of a listed multinational group, including SGX reporting, consolidation, and financial analysis, while developing strong accounting and analytical foundations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of Half-Year and Full-Year SGX financial results announcements.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of notes-to-accounts working templates.
- Perform financial analysis of consolidated results to support management and statutory reporting, including quarterly results.
- Review and analyse monthly financial information of subsidiaries, including balance sheet items and key variances.
- Assist in communicating changes in reporting requirements across the Group.
- Support compliance with accounting standards, SGX Listing Manual requirements, and Companies Act guidelines under supervision.
- Support the Finance team in migration and implementation of new finance or reporting systems.
- Assist with data validation, reconciliation, and documentation during system-related projects.
- Provide ad-hoc support for finance-related projects and initiatives.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles; knowledge of SFRS(I), SGX Listing Manual, and Companies Act is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with SAP and/or Oracle consolidation systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute as a team player.
