Job Description

The successful incumbent is responsible for meeting sales targets for YRI Bakery through effective planning and budgeting.

Key roles & responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Sales Management

  • Develop annual sales plans, activities, and campaigns and review these plans quarterly, based on sales targets
  • Prepare sales forecast and budget monthly
  • Monitor market trends, sales volume, and revenue to identify opportunities and gaps. Adapt plans and re-allocate resources to improve the overall performance of the sales team
  • Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, pricing, and distribution strategies
  • Provides reports based on information collected such as marketing trends, competition, new products, competitive pricing, etc


Customer Engagement

  • Manage regular engagement with customers and develop plans to respond to their needs
  • Identify customer needs and opportunities and adapt sales tactics to preserve existing business accounts and capture new customer accounts
  • Negotiate sales with existing and new customers who are of strategic importance to the organization
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities and pursue new sales prospects

Supervision of Sales Team

  • Review and implement a standard customer service guidelines for Sale Functions
  • Supervise and coach the sales team on technical aspects of bakery products, marketing, and sales campaigns

Coordination with Production Team

  • Liaise with the production team on potential product offerings to target evolving market customer needs
  • Coordinate with production to develop remedial measures to respond to customers’ feedback on quality

A suitably qualified candidate is one who possesses:

  • Degree in Hospitality, Business, or Marketing is preferred
  • At least 3 years of sales experience in the Bakery or hospitality industry
  • A demonstrated ability to be resourceful and creative in developing sales tactics
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Good supervisory skills and ability to work independently.
