Job Description

Bar Trainees will be exposed to learning aspects of both Bar & operations at Smoke & Mirrors: 

Bar:

  • To be responsible for mixing and dispensing various alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails at the bar or lounge
  • To ensure that bar is all set up with glasses, stirrers, cocktail garnishes, tidbits etc, before the shift commences
  • To replenish the stock/supplies as and when necessary
  • To monitor and maintain records of bar stocks, in particular wines and liquors and inform the manager for replenishment when necessary
  • To mix and dispense drinks/cocktails in accordance with the menu
  • To keep the bar counter clean, wash up, prepare garnishes and maintain housekeeping of the bar area
  • To provide efficient, attentive, courteous and professional service at all times
  • To create a friendly atmosphere in the bar and establish rapport with the guests

Operations:

  • To provide excellent customer service to guest in a timely and friendly manner, ensuring guests a pleasant dining experience
  • Facilitate a welcoming and hospitable guest experience at the bar. Manage flow and maximise seating capacity of bar during peak hours
  • Follow up on any service recovery when required, ensure service standards and processes are observed to achieve high levels of guest satisfaction when dining
  • Maintain day to day outlet cleanliness
  • Perform general inventory management and equipment maintenance duties
  • Work together with other team members to provide good quality service
  • Assist in dishwashing duties and runner duties as and when required
  • Manage e-shop orders
  • Any other suitable task as and when assigned by the Bar Manager
