Job Description

Major Functions:

This role is part of the Digital team at WWF International Communications and Marketing Division based in Singapore, reporting to the Global Social Media & Digital Communications Specialists. The role is also part of the cross-functional Earth Hour global team.

Be part of a dynamic and diverse team - where the primary role is to assist in the up-keep and management of WWF’s digital channels - including campaign activity for Earth Hour over a six-month period - helping to create, maintain and monitor diverse content for WWF and Earth Hour’s global social media platforms as well as website, blogs, and email newsletters.

The role will also involve researching emerging global platforms and consultation with the wider WWF network to source and deliver key digital materials for WWF and the Earth Hour campaign.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

Content Creation: 

● Participate in the ideation of content and activations across Earth Hour and WWF channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, as well as website, blog, and email.

● Devise, develop and deliver compelling, engaging and inspiring digital content (including - but not limited to - videos, images, GIFs etc.) in collaboration with internal and external production teams for use on WWF and Earth Hour channels

● Help produce short-form and long-form written content for different digital platforms (social, web, and email) and audiences

● Stay up to date with the latest digital and social trends and activations, finding ways to incorporate elements within our WWF and Earth Hour content

● Run paid ad campaigns

 

Channel Updates: 

● Creation of a content calendar and executing the timely release of post

● Creation of plan for On-The-Night Earth Hour updates

● Regularly update banners and headers

● Support in WWF and Earth Hour e-newsletter production

 

Audience Management: (Internal and External) 

● Identify potential influencers and recruit engaged members into a community of like minded people who are interested in nature

● Identify content opportunities to grow our email newsletter subscriber list, including specific subsets of subscribers

● Manage Facebook Groups: Earth Hour Champions and Team Earth

● Harness the power of #WWFVoices and Earth Hour influencers to increase digital reach

● Organize online/virtual engagement events for the community (eg. Facebook’s Watch Party’s, IGTV Live etc.)

 

Reporting, Analytics, and Optimisation: 

● Utilise social listening tools to ensure that the most relevant online trends and conversations with respect to Earth Hour and WWF are being tracked and monitored, identifying ways we can use these insights to inform our content creation and key messages communicated

● Support the Digital team by helping to monitor and evaluate the results of digital activation campaigns

● Work with other tools such as Google Analytics to report on website engagement, identifying trends and key learnings

● Use data and learnings gathered and suggest ways to improve and adapt future digital content to increase their performance across key metrics Required Skills and Competencies

● Advanced written and verbal English skills are a must, along with the maturity to work in a global, multi-cultural environment

● Proactive and detail-oriented, able to work autonomously as well as with others

● Avid user of social media and consumer of digital content

● Basic knowledge in design software such as Photoshop

● Willingness to learn about and research social media and industry trends

● Willingness to learn new analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and social listening dashboards

● Willingness to learn website content management systems (CMS) such as Hubspot and WordPress

● Demonstrate an understanding of different audience profiles and consumption behaviors on various digital platforms, and an awareness of how to tailor content, user experiences, and messages to best fit audience needs

● Ability to create content in-line with brand guidelines - including visual and written tone of voice

● Willingness to learn about the global Earth Hour campaign and conservation goals of WWF

● Interest in environmental and sustainability issues

● Love for all digital and social media
