Job Description

Major Functions:

This role is part of the Brand team in the WWF International Communications & Marketing division, reporting to the Communications Specialist. The role is also part of the cross-functional Earth Hour global team.

Be part of a dynamic and diverse team - helping to lead the strategy and growth of the WWF and Earth Hour global brands, and driving its core message across our international content and platforms. As part of the in-house design team, this role will contribute fresh perspectives and execute creative social and brand assets. You are a creative in storytelling as well as an expert in layout and design. You will help to discover impactful stories of Earth Hour communities on the ground and create the Earth Hour annual highlights report - showcasing amazing results and achievements from around the world.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

● Create engaging and thought-provoking graphics and visual materials for print, publication, web and social media (eg. GIFs, infographics, digital ad banners, posters)

● Assist the Digital Team in creating social media content for WWF and Earth Hour global social media platforms

● Support the global WWF and EH network with their diverse regional and local design requests

● Join the planning and brainstorming for creative marketing and digital assets

● Deliver ‘on-brand’ designed contents with strong integration of campaign messaging and aligned ‘look and feel’

● Work with Earth Hour team and network to gather contents and images, and incorporate them into engaging assets created for Earth Hour teams around the world

● Layout and design post-Earth Hour Report, and work with the Earth Hour global team and network to gather inspiring stories and images to showcase achievements from around the world (See past Earth Hour reports)

● Support the refresh of WWF and Earth Hour global brand guidelines and asset creation

● Perform other duties as required

 

Required Skills and Competencies: 

● Familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

● Knowledge in Adobe Flash is a plus

● Some experience designing for print, publication, web and social media preferable

● Skilled in Final Artwork creation

● Creative and with an eye for clean design

● Proactive about proposing innovative design suggestions

● Great attention to detail and consistency

● Excellent written and verbal English skills are a must

● Interested in learning to work with a team in a fast-paced, global and multicultural environment

● Willingness to learn about the global Earth Hour campaign and conservation goals of WWF

● Interest in environmental and sustainability issues
