WOW Kampung is an educational social enterprise that provides impactful learning experiences to nurture confidence and resilience towards becoming an Activator of Change. We believe people have the power to take control of our increasingly unsustainable world, achieve dreams, and contribute back to the Environment and Community.
Through experiential, place- and brain-based learning, we partner schools, corporations and government institutions to provide platforms that nurture confidence and future-ready skills, form deeper connections with our internal self and external environment and community, and activate initiatives that create positive impacts. ABOUT WORKSHOP
Millennials today are a tech-savvy content-creating generation that is continuously reinventing social media and influencing the way people communicate, think and value what is important.
In a world that is moving faster and growing increasingly uncertain, we believe Millennials have the power to raise awareness about positive wellbeing, influence healthy and meaningful lifestyles, redirect focus towards our connection with the environment and community, and above all, join us in our mission towards creating activators of change through our learning experiences.
The Millennials as Positive Advocates Workshop is a 1.5-day fun and experiential programme that aims to dissect the concerns of today in the focus areas of wellbeing, community, and environment. More importantly, the workshop enables you to make a difference in these areas through positive advocacy, by equipping you with relevant competencies, skills, and experience.
From a range of activities in the Kampung Kampus and surrounding neighbourhood, you will get the opportunity to rediscover your strengths and weaknesses, develop facilitation skills, learn how to “walk the ground” and perform community asset mapping, network with like-minded youth, and initiate a community service.
At the end of the workshop, each participant will receive a certificate and are invited to go through a selection round of joining WOW Kampung as a trained facilitator.
