World Scientific Publishing was established in 1981 with only 5 employees in a tiny office. Today, the company employs about 200 staff at its headquarters in Singapore and 450 globally. It has offices in New Jersey, London, Munich, Geneva, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei, Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Chennai. In about 3 decades, it has established itself as one of the leading scientific publishers in the world, and the largest international scientific publisher in the Asia-Pacific region.
World Scientific publishes about 600 new titles a year and 135 journals in various fields. Many of its books are recommended texts adopted by renowned institutions such as Harvard University, California Institute of Technology, Stanford University and Princeton University.
Requirements:
- Good command of English
- Minimum A levels (waiting for University) / Undergraduates
- Able to commit to a minimum of 3 months.
- Demonstrate a breadth of interests in different subject areas including social sciences, and business & management.
- No prior experience required.
- Able to work independently as well as in a group under the supervision/management of a staff member
What we are seeking to achieve in this hire:
- As part of our branding engagement with institutional customers or potential customers, someone who will conceptualise an exhibition within a framework provided.
- Curate and plan the exhibition contents
- Work with an assigned designer to design the exhibition look and feel.
- Copywrite the contents
- Strategise the design of the marketing material revolving around the exhibition. This can include platforms and types of materials (videos, eDMs, social media posts)
