Job Description

Role Overview

Are you a Singapore resident with native fluency in Malay and deep cultural insight? We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented professional to generate and analyze safety-related content to challenge and improve AI safety models. You will play a crucial role in ensuring AI safety systems are robust, accurate, and culturally sensitive for the Singapore market.

Key Responsabilities

  • Prompt Generation: Create highly creative, meaningful, and culturally relevant text prompts (1–2 sentences) that reflect genuine real-world safety issues.

  • Image Sourcing: Locate and source open-domain images that directly align with the prompts and categorize the content as unsafe according to project guidelines.

  • Cultural Safety Analysis: Write clear, concise explanations detailing the precise cultural and safety reasons why the combined content (prompt + image) is considered a safety violation within the Singapore context.

  • Language Adaptation: Translate/adapt culturally relevant English prompts into Singaporean Malay.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all generated content is accurate, culturally appropriate, and strictly adheres to all project safety guidelines.

Work Schedule & Logistics

  • Duration: Dec 1 (or hire date) to Jan 23 
  • Work Status:  Remote (Must reside in Singapore) 
  • Weekly Hours: Minimum: 20 hours / Maximum: 40 hours
  • Daily Commitment:
    • Option 1: Minimum 4 hours per day (Mon–Fri) 
    • OR Option 2: 2 hours Mon–Fri + 10 hours over the weekend 
  • Attendance: Reliable, consistent daily/weekly commitment is mandatory.
  • Compensation: $25/hour
     

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Residence: Must be legally residing in Singapore to be eligible.

  • Language Fluency: Native or professional (C1/C2 level) fluency in both English and Singaporean Malay.

  • Cultural Insight: Strong, demonstrable familiarity with the cultural nuances, social norms, and real-world safety concerns specific to the Singapore market.

  • Creativity: Exceptional ability to generate novel, non-obvious prompts that effectively challenge AI safety models.

  • Research Skills: Proficiency in using search engines to quickly and efficiently locate suitable open-domain images.

  • Writing Excellence: Ability to formulate clear, concise, and impactful queries and explanations in both required languages.

  • Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with Google Drive and Google Sheets for data entry and collaboration.

  • Experience (Plus): Previous experience in content creation, data annotation, prompt formulation, or safety analysis is highly advantageous.
