Wego – Data Analyst Intern

As part of the Data Team, the Data Analyst Intern will play an important role in uncovering the business value in our data to help drive important business decisions. The intern will help perform analysis to assist in the reporting to our internal stakeholders and help streamline processes/tools within the Data Team.

The intern will have the opportunity to gain exposure into data management practices and considerations, develop BI dashboards, understand key performance measures/KPIs and establish data pipelines. Through this, the intern will be able to develop his/her analytical and technical skill sets.

Responsibilities

• Analyse our data to generate insights and recommendations through the use of effective data analysis and visualizations.
• Understanding the data needs of internal stakeholders and supporting them with relevant analysis and reports.
• Investigate potential data issues or business related problems.
• Automate our data pipelines by developing Python scripts.
• Assist in developing and organizing our data knowledge repository.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with statistical analysis.
• Good inclination towards software programming and adaptable with scripting languages such as Python.
• Be able to analyse business problems with a good investigative approach and is comfortable in querying datasets to pinpoint relevant insights.
• Passionate about deriving important insights from data to be able to make better business decisions.
• Proactive and independent, with clear communication skills in delivering insights.
