Company Profile

Wave Films was founded in 2012 by acclaimed German producer Jerry Koedding and has worked on numerous local and international productions. Jerry Koedding has produced more than 200 hours of highly-rated primetime TV content that has been broadcast across multiple countries. Mostly working in reality production, Wave Films has honed its skills in delivering high-quality content while being particularly budget-efficient and cost-effective.

Wave Films' team has also created the melodrama TV movie Nur Ainun, directed by Devarajan and produced by Jerry Koedding. Nur Ainun was one of the highest-rated movies of Singapore TV channel Suria in all of its history.

Wave Films also promotes Singapore as a filming location to foreign producers. We enable foreign producers to tell great stories in Singapore - about Singapore, like a documentary on Singing Birds for German-French TV channel ARTE, commercials for Finnair, or an architectural documentary about some of the stunning buildings in Singapore for BBC that were produced with our support.

Job Description

We are currently heavily engaged in finding new exciting film and TV projects to produce under our Wave Films banner - and we need help. We are looking for an intern who can work within our flexible and small team as a Film Development Intern.

Working closely with our main producer, your responsibilities will help him find new concepts and ideas for development.

As an ideal Wave Filmer, you will have the following skills and interests:

- love working in a small team and being able to work independently under the supervision of a producer
- be an avid (and ideally fast) reader as you will be reading many screenplays
- be detail-oriented in their analysis of every script
- possess strong writing skills, including thoughtful qualitative feedback and clear, concise language (including professional-level grammar and diction)
- have a keen interest in fictional movies and TV series
- be interested in learning more about the development process

Please note that this is not a "set position". As a development intern, you will mostly work from home and liaise with our producer through remote communication tools and online platforms. You do not need to have studied film, although it will be helpful. It will be beneficial if you have written your own screenplays in the past.

This position is already closed and no longer available.  You may like to view the other latest internships here.
