The future of entertainment is now here with Virtual Room – an award-winning team VR experience located in Chinatown, Singapore.

We are seeking enthusiastic, customer service-oriented game masters to join our team! Must be able to work weekdays or weekday evenings.

About Virtual Room 

• A truly immersive and mind-blowing adventure for groups of 2 to 4 players who must work together to the save the world in a totally realistic environment

• Each player has their own dedicated room, specially designed and equipped with the latest VR gear. They will get to move around, search for items, manipulate objects and collaborate with their fellow team members.

• Part of the global Virtual Room business, established in 2017 with branches in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Australia

Successful applicant features 

• Enthusiastic, engaging and keen to provide customers with a great experience. The ideal candidate should have previous front facing customer service experience

• Strong verbal communication skills

• Able to adapt well to difficult situations / customers and resolve issues in an empathetic and professional manner

• Fluent spoken and written English. Ability to speak Mandarin a plus

• Have good attention to detail, self-directed and a good team player

• Good computer skills (booking systems, websites, Facebook etc.)

• Passionate about emerging technology and VR gaming

• Experience tinkering with electronics

• Willingness to learn

• Flexibility in working hours (e.g. last minute rostering and variable hours dependent on bookings)

• Entertainment, café and/or bar experience a bonus

What’s On Offer 

Casual / sociable roster around hours of 9:30am – 10:30pm seven days a week

Competitive hourly rate $9-10 per hour

Start ASAP with 3 month probation period

Game Master Duties 

• Greet, register and provide a briefing to customer teams before the experience

• Escort guests to the game room, explain the VR equipment, effectively communicate and demonstrate game mechanics to guests and assist them to put on their headset and hand-held controllers

• Monitor players throughout the game via PC and headset and assist them to progress if needed

• Provide photograph opportunities and general advice / feedback after the experience

• Resolve any customer issues

• Monitor and resolve minor game faults, report major faults to the manager

• Maintenance and sanitisation of VR equipment

• Keep the gameplay, reception and restroom areas clean and tidy

• Answer emails / phone queries and enter bookings into the system

• Assist with promotions, leaflets and other marketing as required
