Launched in September 1993 by Singapore’s Ambassador-at-Large and VSA Patron, Professor Tommy Koh, Very Special Arts Singapore is a local charity organisation dedicated to providing opportunities for people with disabilities to be involved in the arts. For the past 24 years, VSA Singapore has been running successful art programmes, workshops, competitions and art exhibitions for the special needs community, creating awareness among members of the public of their immense talent and resilience.

Through our programmes, we:

  1. Promote the educational, social, rehabilitative and therapeutic benefits of visual, performing and literary arts;
  2. Integrate individuals with disabilities into mainstream society through the arts; and
  3. Assist them in obtaining financial independence through arts and arts-creation.
Job Description

Admin work for Very Special Theatrics In-depth workshop (March - September)

- Administration of school management system

- Prepare and send fee letters

- Collect class fee and issue receipts

- Prepare and update attendance sheet 

- Assist and Facilitator during class

- Taking photos and videos for documentation

- Research on potential venues for theatre production

- Assist in logistic arrangement for performance and production


Planning and execution of Welcome to My World 2019 (March - September)

- Send Invitation for participation letter

- Collect info sheet and videos for screening

- Coordinate and schedule timetable for group visit

- Marketing of the events (publicity and social media posting)

- Ticketing and seating arrangement

- Collect payment and issue receipts for tickets sales

- Consolidate sales figure and donation for report

- Editing and production of certificates

- Prepare guest lists

- Send Invites and RSVP guest list

- Assist in draft Bump-in schedule for tech run, rehearsal and performance day

- Assist in logistic arrangement for the fringe activities

- Consolidate and prepare payment vouchers to vendors and performers


Citi-YMCA Youth For Causes 2019 (March – August)

- Assist in logistic requirement

- Assist in cash counting process

- Facilitate during the project implementation period

- Assist in bank deposit process

- Supporting VSA events.
