Job Description

Our team is currently looking for highly motivated and self-driven individuals to join us as a Full Time Private Debt Analyst (Intern) in January to June 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be part of a team responsible for the management of Single-Family Office headquartered in Singapore looking to make active investments regionally and across multi assets classes. The FO is looking for an investment analyst to join the team:

1. Work within deal teams to originate ASEAN alternative investment opportunities with a focus on analysis of the alternative asset investments.

2. Work with management teams to provide investment recommendations.

3. Working with the origination team in Singapore to maintain relationships with key counterparties.

4. Build strong relationships across the business, particularly with deals origination partners/brokers/introducers, the analysis teams and the rest of the regional partners origination team.

5. Apt in analyzing and distilling financial information succinctly in a credit proposal.

6. Collaborate with the Credit & Marketing officers to identify credit, operational and business risks and recommend solutions to address or mitigate these risks.

7. Assess creditworthiness of existing or new customers based on financial statements and/or non-financial information and recommend appropriate credit terms to Sales team to ensure credit requirements are met while meeting business opportunities.

8. Able to write a credit proposal concisely and cogently.

9. Able to submit written work within stipulated deadlines.

10. Generate weekly and monthly credit reports for monitoring purposes.

11. Ensure credit applications comply with Company's credit policies.

12. Identify early warning signs or credit weaknesses to minimize/circumvent loan loss.

13. Has an incisive understanding of the direct and strong connection between business and credit environments.

14. Ad-hoc functions as assigned by the direct report, from time to time.

15. Assist in the origination and development of new business opportunities.

16. Participate in the negotiation of client mandates, advisor appointments and project and finance documentation.

17. Assist in carrying out financial analysis, risk analysis and other project specific due diligence.

18. Assist with the preparation of internal resource and credit application packages.

19. Assist with identification and entry into new markets and sectors.

20. Maintain awareness of and comply with, relevant private real-estates debt lending procedures, loan structures, tools and processes.

Qualifications/Capabilities:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, and/or any other relevant disciplines.
  • Past relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, management consulting, or any other related field.
  • Excellent research skills and basic understanding of building financial models.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
