Key Responsibilities:
Conduct laboratory testing, analysis and evaluation of industrial and consumer product samples, such as water treatment chemicals, industrial raw materials, consumer products and medical devices
Employ wet chemistry techniques and spectroscopy methods for the testing
Evaluate chemical resistance of consumer products
Maintain and upkeep laboratory records and documentations
Perform other related duties and assignments as assigned
Learning Outcomes:
Reinforce and integrate theories of chemistry and material science to commercial testing, analysis and evaluation assignments
Build an understanding on workplace SOP and international standards and their applicability on actual analysis
Learn the maintenance and upkeep procedures necessary to support day-to-day operations of a laboratory
Gain interpersonal and communication skills through interaction with various stakeholders throughout the organisation
Key Requirements:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Chemistry / Biological Chemistry / Material Science
Results and service-oriented individual who possesses initiative and good communication skills
A proactive team player with the ability to work independently in challenging projects and timelines
Enthusiastic and resourceful with a “can-do” attitude
