Job Description

Job Title: Book Launch Intern

Duration: 3-6 months (Negotiable)

Time Commitment: Full-time or 60% (Negotiable)

Location: Singapore

Compensation: Negotiable

 

Position Overview:

You will work closely with Rob Bier, the author of Smooth Scaling: 20 Rituals to Build a Friction-Free Organization, to ensure the successful launch of this exciting book. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, event planning, project management, and collaboration with external partners. The selected candidate will be an integral part of a dynamic team and contribute directly to the success of the book launch campaign.

Responsibilities:

  1. Marketing Support:
    • Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the book.
    • Create engaging content for social media platforms, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential promotional opportunities.
  2. Event Planning:
    • Collaborate with launch partners to plan and execute book launch events.
    • Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person events, including venue selection, catering, and technical setup.
    • Liaise with external event partners, sponsors, and vendors to ensure seamless execution.
  3. Organizational Support:
    • Maintain organized records of marketing and event materials.
    • Provide support in coordinating meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
    • Assist in tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the book launch.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing principles.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Currently enrolled at or recently graduated from a respected university, such as:
    • National University Singapore
    • Singapore University of Technology and Design
    • Singapore Management University
    • Nanyang Technological University
