We are looking for a Software Engineer (Backend) who is keen to apply his/her skills to impact our world in food waste reduction. This role will be focused on backend and, ideally, you should have a good understanding of software engineering and data structures algorithms.
As our Software Engineer, you will build innovative products on state-of-the-art technologies that bring the experience to the application. We are looking for candidates who share a passion for tackling complexity and building platforms that can scale. Our field moves extremely quickly and so it’s important that you’re keen to learn; we think that this role represents a fantastic opportunity to apply cutting edge technologies into production. Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Work closely with our product and design teams to customize the experience towards optimisations
Build reusable codes / frameworks
Write elegant, readable, and well-documented code
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
Backend Development: NodeJS REST API Kubernetes
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics or Mathematics, or related programming field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with code bases, including API design techniques
Experience with Kubernetes, or confidence and willingness to grasp this new area
Experience with Azure Functions / Functions-as-a-Service, or confidence and willingness to grasp this new area
Experience with multithreading programming
Experience writing unit tests and testable code
Strong analytical skill is a plus
Strong communication skill is a plus
