Job Description

Position Overview

The Business Development Associate will provide sales and administrative support to the Singapore sales team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for identifying and initiating first contact with new, potential clients, and work closely with the team to drive adoption of the Tradex platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Frontline customer management: Direct client support requests and sales leads to the relevant account executive or manager promptly
  • Sales lead generation: Perform sales calls to create sales leads and build client portfolio
  • Database management: Maintain the team’s prospects list to ensure there are no duplicates and that all entries are still current
  • Market research: Regular market scan for competitors' news or sales opportunities
  • Basic administrative tasks: Organising meetings, collating itineraries, responding to general internal enquiries

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Diploma or equivalent in any discipline (Business, Communications, or Marketing preferred)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in English (fluency in an additional Asian language is a plus)
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Good telephone manners
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative in a competitive sales environment
  • Duration: At least 6 months
