The Business Development Manager will spearhead efforts to expand TIG’s presence and impact through strategic outreach and partnership development for our China Workshops. This role requires a proactive, strategic thinker who can identify growth opportunities, nurture relationships, and drive engagement with educational institutions, student organizations, and relevant stakeholders in the region.
Core Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and potential markets for the China Workshops.
Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, including universities, student groups, industry organizations, and influencers to increase awareness and participation.
Develop and execute targeted outreach and engagement strategies that align with TIG’s overall growth goals.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and partnership offers that highlight the value of TIG’s workshops.
Negotiate agreements and collaborate across internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and execution of partnerships.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and participant feedback to continuously optimize partnership strategies.
Represent TIG at virtual and physical industry events, career fairs, and networking functions to amplify program visibility.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years in business development, sales, or partnership roles, ideally within edtech or career services sectors.
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic business plans that yield measurable results.
Knowledge of or experience in the Chinese education or internship market is highly desirable.
Self-directed and results-oriented, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Comfortable using CRM and business development software to track progress and report outcomes.
