Since October 2011, Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities (THKMC) was incorporated as a charity with an IPC status to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large.
THKMC provides assistance to the various groups in our community through more than 60 programmes and services for the elderly and the sick, families, persons with disabilities, and children. We help anyone in need with full respect to their race, colour, creed, language, culture and religion. We have more than 90 programmes and services, reaching out to more than 55,000 people in the community.
Together, as ONETHK – Empowering the Community.
· To assist residents in changing their clothes.
· To assist residents that need feeding.
· To escort residents to and from hospital/clinic.
· To attend to residents moving to and from common areas for various activities, as well as assisting in managing residents’ behaviours.
· To assist Staff Nurses and Programme Executives in residents’ participation in the various recreational and social programmes.
· To observe and interact with the residents in the living or social space, and to assist in preventing residents’ falls.
Qualifications
GCE 'N' or 'O' Level or ITE Certificate in Healthcare (Homecare) or equivalent from recognised training centres
Other Information
· Able to converse in English, Mandarin or Malay in order to engage the residents
· Experience in management of Intellectual Disabilities is an advantage
· CPR AED and First Aid certified is preferred
· Positive working attitude
· Teamwork and passion to serve the intellectual disabilities
· Able to work cohesively with colleagues from all disciplines
· Rotating 5-day work week 2 days off
