THKMC provides assistance to the various groups in our community through more than 60 programmes and services for the elderly and the sick, families, persons with disabilities, and children.  We help anyone in need with full respect to their race, colour, creed, language, culture and religion. We have more than 90 programmes and services, reaching out to more than 55,000 people in the community.

Job Description

Overview:

As an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Manager, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organisation against potential threats and uncertainties. You will be responsible for assessing and managing risks across THKMC Services and Corporate Functions, ensuring the implementation of effective risk mitigation strategies, and contributing to the overall ERM framework of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Risk Identification and Assessment:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather information and insights on business processes, projects, and external factors influencing risk.

2. Risk Analysis and Evaluation:

  • Analyse and evaluate the impact of identified risks on business objectives, operations, and financial performance.
  • Utilise quantitative and qualitative methods to assess the likelihood and severity of risks.

3. Risk Mitigation and Control:

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and control measures.
  • Work closely with the Services and Corporate Functions to ensure the integration of risk management into daily operations.

4. Policy Development; Program Management:

  • Participate in designing, developing, implementing, and updating ERM programs, policies, methodologies, analytics, and tools.
  • Ensure that the ERM framework, policies, risk appetite statements, metrics and tolerance limits are communicated effectively across the organisation.
  • Cascade bizSafe program to key Homes and centres. Facilitate bizSafe re-certification.
  • Facilitate SGSecure program.
  • Contribute to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) efforts by participating in Environmental Sustainability taskforce.
  • Organize and conduct ERM conversations.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner Risk Co-ordinators and representatives for bizSafe, SGSecure and Business Continuity Management programs by advising on pertinent risk issues, articulating corresponding implications and recommending preventive and corrective measures.

6. Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare ERM discussion papers and presentations. Partner Secretariats to table ERM presentations.
  • Monitor metrics and tolerance limits as stipulated in THKMC Risk Appetite Dashboard and recommend enhancements where necessary.
  • Foster a culture of risk awareness and ownership culture throughout the organisation.
  • Work with Head (SPRM) to achieve functional objectives and deadlines.

7. Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to risk management.
  • Ensure the organisation's compliance with applicable risk management regulations.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Post-graduate degree or professional certification would be a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in risk management and/or internal audit.
  • Experience in working with Board of Directors and senior management, meeting co-ordination and tracking policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with ERM / internal audit tools e.g., dashboard, RACI matrix.
  • Good ERM program management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with ESG reporting framework and standards. Familiarity with relevant ISO standards.
  • Working knowledge of Singapore Social Service and Community Care sector.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
