Company Profile

Thereafter Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore-based estate planning and legacy coordination company dedicated to helping individuals and families prepare for the future with confidence. Through estate planning solutions and educational initiatives, we aim to improve financial literacy by making complex estate and financial topics accessible, practical, and easy to understand.

As part of our commitment to promoting financial literacy, we produce fun and research driven content covering personal finance, investing, estate planning, wealth preservation, and economic developments. We are seeking suitable interns who enjoy research, critical thinking, and creating educational content that benefits the wider community.

Job Description

You will be involved in projects that combine financial research, business intelligence and digital communication. Your work may span financial markets, economic developments, consumer finance, companies, industries and broader business trends.

Rather than simply collecting information, you will be encouraged to investigate the reasons behind major developments, connect information from different sources and identify insights that can be communicated to a wider audience.

The role provides an opportunity to experience how research can be transformed into useful educational and digital material.

What You Will Work On

Your projects will vary depending on current business and content priorities. You may be asked to investigate a financial or business topic, assess relevant information and develop a concise summary of your findings.

You could be involved in monitoring market movements, following economic developments, researching companies and industries, examining emerging investment themes or exploring issues affecting consumers and businesses.

Typical projects may involve:

  • Researching current developments across financial and business sectors

  • Reviewing economic data, company information, industry reports and market news

  • Preparing background research for upcoming content and projects

  • Comparing information from multiple publicly available sources

  • Highlighting significant developments, patterns or emerging themes

  • Developing research briefs and internal reference materials

  • Summarising complex subjects into easy-to-understand explanations

  • Assisting with research for articles, campaigns and educational initiatives

You will be expected to evaluate information carefully rather than simply reproduce what you find. Accuracy, context and clarity will be important parts of your work.

Exploring Finance & Markets

As part of the internship, you will have opportunities to deepen your understanding of financial concepts and current market developments.

Depending on the projects you work on, topics may include investment principles, equity markets, fixed income, inflation, interest rates, economic cycles, market behaviour, savings, budgeting and long-term financial planning.

You may also examine how financial news and economic events affect businesses, investors and everyday consumers.

The internship is focused on research and financial education. It does not involve providing individualised financial advice or making investment recommendations for specific individuals.

From Research to Content

An important part of the role is learning how information can be communicated effectively.

After completing research, you may help develop the findings into different forms of digital content. This could include preparing the underlying research for a video, developing an educational social media concept or assisting with an article explaining a financial topic.

Possible formats include:

  • Educational social media content

  • Short videos and video scripts

  • Financial explainers

  • Articles and editorial pieces

  • Market updates

  • Research-based posts

  • Infographics and visual concepts

  • Digital learning materials

  • Briefing documents and summaries

You will also have opportunities to suggest topics that you believe are relevant or interesting. We value individuals who can identify questions worth investigating and find creative ways to make information easier to understand.

Exposure to Wealth & Business

The scope of the internship may extend beyond markets and personal finance.

You may also encounter research topics relating to wealth management, estate planning, succession, business ownership and continuity planning.

These projects can provide a broader perspective on how financial decisions interact with family structures, businesses, assets and long-term objectives.

Where appropriate, interns may also attend internal discussions, learning sessions or professional sharing sessions to gain insight into how financial and business concepts are applied in real-world situations.

The Person We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is inquisitive, resourceful and comfortable learning through research.

You may be studying finance, economics, business, communications, media or another related discipline, although your academic background is not the only consideration.

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Follow financial, economic or business news

  • Enjoy researching unfamiliar subjects

  • Have an interest in investing or personal finance

  • Like understanding why markets and businesses behave the way they do

  • Can distinguish useful information from irrelevant information

  • Are comfortable working independently

  • Pay attention to accuracy and detail

  • Can explain ideas clearly in writing or conversation

  • Are interested in digital media, content or storytelling

Previous experience in content creation, research, writing, social media or financial analysis would be useful, but it is not essential.

More importantly, we are looking for someone who is willing to ask questions, investigate further and take responsibility for the quality of their work.

What You Can Expect to Gain

Throughout the internship, you will build practical experience in researching and communicating financial and business information.

You will develop stronger skills in information gathering, source evaluation, critical analysis, writing, financial literacy and content development.

You will also gain experience working with real-world topics rather than relying solely on academic examples. Over time, you will learn how to approach an unfamiliar subject, identify the important information, understand the wider context and communicate your conclusions effectively.

Depending on your projects, you may also build a collection of research notes, articles, scripts, social media content and other materials that can form part of your professional portfolio.

Ultimately, the internship is about developing the ability to research intelligently, think critically and communicate complex financial ideas in a way that people can understand and appreciate.
