The Math Lab – Math Tutor

We are hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Math Tutors to teach both 1-1 home tuition and classes at our centres. Join us to deliver quality Math education with competitive remuneration and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Math tuition to Primary 1-6 and Secondary 1-4 students at centre-based classes
• Conduct 1-1 home tuition sessions by travelling to students’ residences nearby as assigned.
• Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials.
• Communicate with parents to give progress reports every month.
• You may be collaborating with other teachers to conduct math bootcamps
• If you need help with a topic/level, you will receive coaching support from our other teachers
• Manage classroom discipline and monitor student progress regularly
• Working hours are Weekdays 3-7pm and some weekends. 1-2 off days a week.

What we look for

• You must be familiar with the Singapore Math curriculum
• At least 1-2 years of private tutoring or math teaching experience preferred
• Enjoy working with younger children and fostering their academic growth
• Degree or Diploma in any major preferred
• For part-time roles: ability to commit at least 6 hours per week (3-lessons)
• You must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore P.R.

Other Information

• Working Hours
• Full-Time Role: 5 or 6 days per week with 1-2 days off
• Weekdays: 3pm to 7pm
• Weekends: 9:30am to 6pm
• Additional time required outside scheduled hours for lesson preparation

• Kovan Branch: Blk 203 Hougang St 21, #01-83, Singapore 530203
• Home tuition assignments will be arranged as conveniently as we can (eg. same MRT line)

Salary & Benefits

• Full-Time Gross Salary: $4,500 - $8,500, based on hours and student load
• Part-time role, with pay based on experience and number of teaching hours.
• Employer CPF contributions included
• Probation period of 2 months with fixed gross hourly salary of $40-$60/hr
