SmartLab Education Centre is a Singapore-based tuition and enrichment centre dedicated to helping students learn with greater confidence and achieve their academic goals.

We provide customised small-group tuition with a maximum of six students per class, allowing our teachers to give closer attention to each student’s learning needs. Our programmes cater to Primary, Secondary, IP, IGCSE and Junior College students across a range of subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities.

Beyond regular tuition, SmartLab also offers practical science laboratory sessions for SEC and ‘A’ Level students, online Mathematics and Science tuition clinics, as well as specially designed school holiday enrichment programmes.

About the role

Join SMARTLAB as a Freelance Secondary and Junior College Biology Teacher to inspire students through engaging lessons and practical experiments, fostering academic excellence and personal growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective, engaging lessons to enhance student understanding and performance

• Prepare, administer, and mark worksheets, assignments, tests, and examination papers to assess and support student progress

• Monitor student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback to guide academic improvement

• Foster a positive, supportive, and disciplined classroom environment that encourages student engagement and respect

About you

• Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Biology, Education, or a related discipline

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Junior College Chemistry

• Strong subject knowledge with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly

• Familiarity with the Singapore curriculum is preferred
