The Iterative Collective – 2D Animator

We're working on pilot episode for an educational animated series together with an edtech platform for children using the Titan Academy IP (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKQ9oeeUCgk7oWPwEKS-yr5qbPary8qAK) in collaboration with Titan Digital Media(https://www.titandigitalmedia.com/) and seeking a 2D animator to support the project.

Responsibilities

• Effectively tell the story in a meaningful way through vivid and compelling character acting and movement
• Create quality animation using digital tools for the animated series.
• Work closely with Director, Script Writer and Content Development Team.
• Storyboard and Plan shots with an understanding of story/character context.
• Block animation, most commonly using audio dialog track
• Clearly show performance ideas and shot blocking in Director review (animation dailies)
• Implement changes and completely finish shots in accordance with production schedule
• Develop a working knowledge of necessary production tools
• Maintain an open and professional demeanor regarding direction, changes and shifting requirements
  
  

Skills And Experience

• Visual demonstration (YouTube/Vimeo preferred) of animation that illustrates visual storytelling, believable expressions, emotional states, weight, physics, balance, appeal, entertainment, clear timing, and staging.
• A reel of your very best character acting shots that is no longer than 2 minutes in length.
• Proficiency in Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate and After Effects or equivalent.
  
  
• Background in traditional hand-drawn, computer, or stop-motion animation is a plus.
• Art Background. Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art, Illustration, Computer Graphics is a plus.
• Diploma in a relevant fields or equivalent experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Maya or equivalent 3D software is a plus.
