Job Description

The Global Citizen Education Group is launching a Direct School Admission (DSA) program and are looking for Drama trainers to guide children from Primary 2 to 6 through Drama certification programs and Drama training. We are looking for trainers with strong expertise in Drama who can help develop a training plan for children to build their drama, performance and presentation skills in order to develop their portfolio for their future DSA application.

Trainers should have a drama qualification with at least 1-year relevant teaching experience and should be able to monitor the child’s progress and make recommendations to the Program Manager. Trainers should also be able to convey the child’s progress to parents.

Preferably, trainers should reside in Singapore and be MOE certified instructors with experience in preparing students for Drama certifications and performances or showcases, such as Singapore Youth Festival (SYF).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Program Manager to develop customised training plan for each child
  • Conduct group and individual drama training sessions
  • Guide children in preparation for Trinity College London or London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) certifications
  • Prepare children for group performances/ showcases/ competitions twice a year

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiar with Drama and Communications certifications with Trinity College London or London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) (For Drama & Public Speaking only)
  • Experience in training children for SYF competitions
  • Preferred 1 year of relevant teaching/ mentorship experience in Primary/ Secondary schools
  • Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Strong communication skills (especially presentation and public speaking)
  • Professional and able to work independently
  • Passionate about teaching
