We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are interested to be part of our Data Science team.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This data science project provides opportunity for beginner practitioners to understand the importance of data science within a biomedical context. You will be using Tessa Therapeutics proprietary data and data analysis tools, in order to determine a set of patients’ biomarkers and eventually how they affect the patients’ health status. This internship bridges the understanding and challenges faced in data analysis of biological/cell data and also let you learn on developing algorithms/scripts for processing information on biotechnology environment.
POSITION SUMMARY
As a data science intern you will be part of a small but highly empowered team of data scientists, data engineers and machine learning practitioners that are discovering better ways to understand and serve our customers. Our objective is to provide the best possible predictive analytics to effectively deliver our innovative and widely accessible immunotherapies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be contributing to the data processing pipeline and predictive analytics framework in following areas:
- Data pre-processing and annotation
- Data exploration
- Algorithm development
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Programming proficiency in Python, R or Java
- Able to document projects
- Analytical mindset and team player
ABLE TO LEARN
- Machine Learning using Scikit-Learn/SciPy, TensorFlow, etc.
- Hands-on on using GPU servers and/or Google Cloud Platforms
- Work on solutions involving Big Data technologies
