Job Description

About the Job

Communications is a strategic function within the investment team. Reporting to the Communications Manager, examples of activities that could be undertaken include:

  • Increase digital presence with design deliverables e.g. webinars, social media posts, video animations and internal newsletters.
  • Conceptualize infographics, illustrations and image manipulations to increase digital-first audience engagement.
  • Build up digital assets with a keen eye for UX/UI, translating brand personality into digital touchpoints and interactive experiences.
  • Develop digital content formats e.g. blog articles, profile interviews, website contributions and videos.
  • Nurture and promote brand awareness with content collaborations e.g. brand affiliates, portfolio companies, stakeholder communities, media publications, non-profit entities and investors.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Communications Manager in executing digital initiatives with multiple stakeholders, piloting impactful programmes and managing collaborations in the life sciences ecosystem.
  • Trace and measure the effectiveness of digital campaigns.
  • Digital marketing for spin-off companies and corporate brands
  • Execute communications plans and brand-building activities e.g. social media engagement, newsletters, blog articles, video production, scriptwriting, brand research, industry listening

Essential Skills and Requirements

  • Working knowledge of publicity, marketing, communications and science
  • Versatile and experimental, with a keen eye for detailed execution
  • A team player and self-starter with a positive attitude, good communication skills and can-do spirit
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Microsoft Office and iWork Suite
  • Digital tools i.e. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Mailchimp, Medium, Figma, Trello, CMS
