We are looking for an individual to work as a trading assistant in a Global Macro fund.
We are looking for candidates with an Engineering or Finance background, preferably with a Masters Degree. Ideally the candidate would have 2 years of prior work experience, preferably in the Finance/Banking industry.
The candidate will need to demonstrate a keen interest in financial markets and be extremely proficient with programming in Excel (knowledge of other programming languages will be a bonus).
Day to day tasks would include:
1) Monitoring positions and profit/loss in the portfolio
2) Analytical research on new investment themes which would require fundamental and technical analysis on the markets.
The successful candidate will also work on a project to create excel tools to:
1) Automate fundamental and technical analysis
2) Optimize and automate daily reporting routines
The candidate will be coached during this 6 month internship to acquire the necessary skills to be a junior analyst on a macro trading desk.
