We are an established food and beverage company looking for an Accounts Intern to be part of the finance team managing the day-to-day bookkeeping entries.

The work requires a high level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility. A positive attitude, eagerness to learn and ability to work in a team are essential qualities.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Perform month-end closing activities
• Maintain accurate financial records and statements
• Record and process all business transactions in the accounting system using double-entry accounting
• Record transactions and events relating to sales, purchases, receivables, payables and cash
• Record transactions and events relating to inventory, accruals, prepayments, capital structure and finance costs
• Enter accurate data into the accounting system 
• Assign account codes to all transactions in the accounting system
• Retrieve system reports from the accounting system for management’s use

Intern Requirements and Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
• Effective communication (verbal and written); Good command of the English language
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
