Core Concept & Mission:StretchFlo’s mission is to help individuals “unlock their body’s potential” by relieving muscle tension, improving flexibility, increasing range of motion, and enhancing overall physical well-being. They move beyond traditional massage to focus on active, assisted stretching techniques performed by certified "Flexologists."
A Stretch Therapist at StretchFlo is a certified wellness professional who delivers personalized, assisted stretching sessions to clients. You are not just a technician—you are a movement educator, a coach, and a trusted partner in our clients' wellness journeys. Your primary mission is to assess individual needs and safely guide clients through targeted stretches that release tension, improve flexibility, and enhance overall physical function.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Delivery (85%)
- Conduct 60-minute or 90-minute one-on-one assisted stretching sessions using the proprietary StretchFlo Method (training is provided)
- Perform initial client assessments to identify mobility restrictions, tightness patterns, and client goals (athletic performance, pain relief, general wellness)Educate clients on proper stretching techniques, muscle groups, and posture alignment
- Adapt sessions in real-time based on client feedback and physical responsesMaintain accurate session notes and track client progress over timeEnsure client safety by recognizing contraindications and respecting physical boundaries
- Team & Studio Operations (15%)Prepare and maintain treatment areas (sanitization, equipment setup, ambiance)Participate in ongoing training and certification in advanced stretching techniques
- Collaborate with team members on client care and studio best practicesContribute to a welcoming, professional, and supportive studio environment
- Assist with basic client scheduling and follow-up communications as needed
Required Qualifications
- Certification in relevant field (Personal Training, Yoga, Pilates, Sports Therapy, Massage Therapy, or similar would be preferred)
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Physical ability to perform assisted stretches (standing, kneeling, light lifting)
- Empathetic, patient, and client-focused mindset
- No prior experience in assisted stretching required—we provide comprehensive paid training!
