Streaks n Strokes – Events and Guest Relations Executive Intern

The Opportunity

We are looking for fun, dynamic people to join our team. In the Event & Guest Relations department at our company, you will be responsible for organizing and coordinating fun art jamming events. You'll also get to do social media marketing and general operations.

Job responsibilities

• Understand requirements and details of each event/art jamming session
• Understand clients' needs and wants
• Plan and organize events with attention to time constraints
• Conduct and host corporate events, parties and regular art jamming sessions
• Do social media marketing (e.g. post creative Instagram stories) during events
• Book external venues and schedule resources and manpower
• Speak to clients and coordinate with them regularly
• Liaise with different vendors (catering, decorators, etc)
• Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms
• Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations, food, drinks etc.)
• Track event inventory
• General housekeeping of art studio to ensure cleanliness
• Offer solutions to resolve problems in a timely manner
• Evaluate event’s success and submit reports

Requirements

• 44 hours a week which may include weekends, evening shifts and public holidays
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management and attention to detail are a must!
• Strong customer focus
• Ability to interact with guests and offer assistance during art jamming
• Some manual work is required to set up and tear down the studio for art jamming sessions so you should have a basic level of physical fitness (able to stand, walk, carry and shift light items)
• Singaporeans and PRs are welcome to apply.
• Interest in art and ability to speak multiple languages would be a bonus
