Stewardship Asia Centre is a non-profit organisation established by Temasek, dedicated to helping business and government leaders, investors and individuals activate stewardship practices through research, executive education and engagement. We define stewardship as creating value by integrating the needs of stakeholders, society, future generations and the environment.
We are seeking an intern to support its Digital Strategy and Communications team. The intern will primarily be helping the team with crafting press releases, research and developing feature ideas for articles pertaining to stewardship. He or she will also be supporting the team in coordinating potential article pitches to the media as well as collating, compiling and reaching out to potential contributors for the digital hub (www.stewardshipcommons.com). He or she will also be supporting public and media relations work and coordinating with vendors when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Proofreading of articles, press releases or presentation materials
- Support social media strategy by crafting posts when necessary
- Research and develop feature ideas for articles on stewardship and steward leadership
- Draft and write feature articles, press releases.
- Help with simple graphics work
- Compile list of potential contributors for digital hub
- Posting articles on content site
- Support media relations work
- Manage digital platform work on soliciting contributors
Requirements
- Third-year undergraduate or postgraduate students from a relevant field such as Communications, Media Studies, and English Language Studies will be preferred.
- Students seeking part-time work are welcomed to apply
- Excellent writing skills
- An eye for detail
- An interest/knowledge in stewardship is desired
- Good team player, yet able to work well independently on projects
