Job Description

• Oversee varied and complex 2D and 3D drafting and design work
• Lead the design development of new product concepts and develop design solution to best meet client’s requirements
• Review design drawings bases for feasibility, practicability, completion timeframe and compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications.
• Oversee BIM modelling process
• Design and implement VDC strategy throughout project life cycle from design and construction to facilities management
• Provide leadership and guidance for BIM implementation
• Develop and test prototypes
• Generate 2D and/or 3D models of prototype designs
• Manage external designers, architects and main contractors
• Analyse and monitor the progress of architect’s drawings and ensure alignment with specification

Qualification

Diploma/ Degree in architecture, design, engineering related discipline

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience overseeing design of construction projects
• In-depth knowledge of current BIM software, including but not limited to Revit, Dynamo, Navisworks, Synchro, Assemble, and Sketchup
• Good project management skills
• Supervisory and people skills
• Organising skills
• Communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Able to read blue prints
• Able to interpret drawings, technical manuals, and to follow quality/control procedures
