Founded in January 2015, Spurwing Communications is one of Singapore’s fastest growing strategic communications agencies. We provide strategic counsel to corporations, Boards, senior decision makers and executives on critical communications programmes and challenges, representing some of the world’s leading healthcare and consumer companies. Our senior team leverages experience from global communications agencies and the communications teams of leading companies to provide proactive, strategic advice to our clients across Asia. We strongly believe in creating a positive workplace culture and have recently been awarded the best agency to work for in Asia Pacific by the Holmes Report.  We were also shortlisted for Southeast Asia PR consultancy of the year at the PR Awards 2019.

Job Description

Proactive and conscientious interns will be given a hands-on role in supporting the account teams in servicing our blue-chip, multinational clients from day one. We want to work with ambitious “do- ers” who are keen to make their mark in helping us to deliver stand-out strategic communications campaigns. In return, we will equip you with essential experience if you are considering a career in corporate and financial public relations.

We are committed to the personal growth of our interns and we offer a unique opportunity to work on a number of fulfilling projects and learn from the experiences of an international team.

Furthermore, the flat organisational structure will provide ample opportunities to learn invaluable business insights from our founder and managing partner.

Your day-to-day role will be to provide support to the PR executives in their daily duties with tasks including collaborating on research projects, report generation and maintenance as well as supporting our new business and marketing initiatives and general office tasks. You will be given opportunities to represent the agency in front of media, clients and other stakeholders in an exciting and dynamic environment.

This position is open to both full-time and part-time interns. Please specify your preference. Additional responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work
  • Contributing fresh ideas to client briefs

  • Dynamic interactions with clients and media to ensure best possible coverage

Job Requirements:

  • Proficient in using design software and programs (e.g. Photoshop, MailChimp)
  • Demonstrate a positive, thoughtful attitude to work
  • Possess good research, writing and organisation skills, with very strong attention to detail
  • Fluent in English. Competency in Mandarin would be advantageous but not essential.
